Responsible use, service expectations, and user responsibilities.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and VHSTech ("we," "us," "our," or the "Platform"). By accessing or using VHSTech in any capacity — including browsing, creating an account, or using any feature — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
VHSTech is a student-focused platform providing access to tools including but not limited to: real-time messaging, a game library, an AI assistant (Valen), media and YouTube integration, file management, and other features made available from time to time.
The platform is continuously developed and improved. Features may change, be added, modified, removed, or experience interruptions, bugs, or downtime at any time without prior notice. VHSTech is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted service or error-free operation.
VHSTech is intended for use by students and individuals associated with Vacaville High School and its surrounding community. By using the Service you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian awareness of their use of this platform. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion.
You agree to use VHSTech in a responsible, respectful, and lawful manner at all times. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
VHSTech includes an integrated AI assistant called Valen. By using Valen, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
You retain ownership of content you create and share on the platform. By submitting content, you grant VHSTech a limited license to store and display that content as necessary to operate the Service.
VHSTech and its administrators reserve the right — but not the obligation — to monitor, review, remove, or restrict any user content or account that is found, at our sole discretion, to violate these Terms or otherwise harm the platform or its users. Administrator actions are logged and subject to oversight by the platform operator.
By using the platform you acknowledge that your activity, including messages, may be reviewed by authorized administrators in the course of moderation and safety investigations.
The VHSTech platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is the intellectual property of VHSTech and its developers. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without express written permission.
Third-party games, media, and content accessible through the platform remain the property of their respective owners. VHSTech does not claim ownership of third-party content and its availability does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VHSTech and its developers, operators, and administrators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of access, or service interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if VHSTech has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VHSTech and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms, your submitted content, or your use of the platform.
VHSTech reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to violation of these Terms, inactivity, or at the platform operator's sole discretion.
You may request account deletion at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination, including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Solano County, California.
